WARRANTY PROCEDURES ON STERNDRIVES
- In the event that you experience a problem with your sterndrive within the 12 months of warranty, you will need to contact our warranty manager at (1-773-586-3577). Please have your invoice readily available.
- If you experience a problem within two weeks of purchase, Budget Engine Rebuilders Inc. and/or DBA Chicago Engines will issue a call tag to pick up the sterndrive. If it is beyond two weeks, you will be responsible for shipping the sterndrive back to Budget Engine Rebuilders Inc. and/or DBA Chicago Engines. Be SURE to fully insure your drive with your carrier for its full value.
- Please send your drive to Budget Engine Rebuilders Inc. and/or DBA Chicago Engines in two halves. Do not send any additional parts with your drive (example: prop, anodes or other miscellaneous hardware) as Budget Engine Rebuilders Inc. and/or DBA Chicago Engines cannot be responsible for it.
- Budget Engine Rebuilders Inc. and/or DBA Chicago Engines ships via ground service for all its warranted products. Request(s) to expedite shipments are the responsibility of the customer, along with any associated charges where applicable.
- Upon receipt of the warranted unit, Budget Engine Rebuilders Inc. and/or Chicago Engines will either repair or replace the product.
- Budget Engine Rebuilders Inc. and/or DBA Chicago Engines will not ship a replacement sterndrive until the warranted unit has been received and inspected and determined by us to be warrantable.
- If you ship a complete drive to Budget Engine Rebuilders Inc. and/or DBA Chicago Engines (upper and lower in a single container), it will be shipped back to you in two boxes.
Please clearly mark the outside of the package with the return authorization number and send your package to:
